Projects

Youth Outreach Network local networks and churches have hosted the following Metroplex-wide projects*:

1994 See You At The Stadium Outreach Event with Christian musician Carman.  Our “Locker-to-Locker” school outreach strategy packed out Texas Stadium with over 72,000 and over 4,800 youth received Christ as their Savior.

1998 Right From Wrong Campaign with Josh McDowell
in which we saw over 27,000 attend the 20 separate local network youth concerts, parent/adult seminars, youth worker lunches and church staff briefings. Through these events,  we mobilized hundreds of adults and over 10,000 youth made commitments to “Counter the Culture” and reach out to their peers , in addition nearly 1,000 youth made decisions for Christ.

2002 Billy Graham Crusade – Youth Night of  which our Director Mark Whittaker served as chairman of the youth committee and our ministry oversaw the mobilization of the churches and youth groups of the metroplex. The DFW campaign broke records for not only the most youth trained and mobilized (almost 10,000) but Youth Night  broke the attendance record for Texas Stadium with over 82,000 (set by our first event in 1994) and over 6,400 youth made decisions for Christ!

2006 Youth Call-In Show on 106.1 Kiss FM in cooperation with Dawson McAllister’s National Radio Ministry “DM Live,” we coordinated the mobilization of Christian students to get the word out to their peers at metroplex schools through distributing 10,000 T-shirts and 100,000 HopeLine Cards.  We also recruited over 200 youth workers to follow-up with lost kids who call-in to the show for help.

2010 North Texas Youth Outreach Event – Join us in praying into reality a youth event in the “New” Cowboy’s Stadium in Arlington.  Our goal will be to see 100,000 youth in attendance with over 10,000 coming to Christ and the other 90,000 getting fired up to reach out to the 1,000,000  lost youth in the Metroplex!

*These events are only the Metroplex-wide major events, each of the 20 local networks also host ongoing projects and events to cooperatively reach the youth in their communities.
